What the Deluxe Edition adds

Six vehicles

  • Concorde: passenger plane
  • London Bus: bus
  • Trans-Europe Express: train
  • Peterbilt 359: truck
  • Hong Kong Tram: double-decker tram
  • Sikorsky S-76 Spirit: helicopter

Planes and helicopters need an airport or a heliport: the airport guide explains which. A tram needs tracks in the street, as the trams guide shows.

Two landmarks

The Eiffel Tower and the Taj Mahal.

Four animals, one for each climate

  • Orca: subarctic climate, in the seas
  • Komodo Dragon: tropical climate, in the islands
  • Boar Family: temperate climate, in the forests
  • Bison: dry climate, in the grasslands

Three maps

  • Redrock Bends: Twisting rivers and deep canyons.
  • Northern Gates: Fjords, scattered islands and mountain ranges that block the way.
  • Emerald Shores: Volcanic islands where waterways and expensive building have to be balanced.

Extras

  • Tycoon Cars: Extra cars for the road traffic. The editions page says no more about them.
  • Fun Elements: Three extra things to discover in the game, which the editions page does not name.
  • Franchise Soundtracks: The music of Urban Games' earlier Transport Fever games.

Prices on Steam

On the US Steam store, checked October 10, 2026. Prices differ between stores and regions and drop during sales.

What you buyPrice
Standard Edition$49.99
Deluxe Edition$64.99
Deluxe Upgrade (needs the base game)$19.99

Upgrading from Standard to Deluxe

The Deluxe Upgrade is sold on its own for players who already own the base game, which it needs. Bought separately, the base game and the upgrade come to $69.98, which is $4.99 more than the Deluxe Edition in one go.

Switching the Deluxe content on

Mods are switched on when you set up a Free Game: its fourth and last step is a Mods page, where Add Mods lists the mods and the Deluxe Edition and Pre-Order Pack content you can activate. For a game you already saved, open Load Game and use the settings icon on its card. If the save allows it, you can change its gameplay settings and its list of mods there. The mods guide covers the rest of that page.

The Transport Fever 2 loyalty discount

Owners of Transport Fever 2 get 10% off the Standard and Deluxe Editions if they buy or pre-order Transport Fever 3 on the platform where they own Transport Fever 2, using that same account. The offer runs until 14 days after the September 29, 2026 release, which is October 13, 2026.
